TelCoa thanks U.S. Representatives Jim Himes, Rosa DeLauro, and Elizabeth Esty for introducing the Multi-State Worker Tax Fairness Act, H.R. 4085, 113th Congress. We strongly support this crucial legislation. The bill would finally eliminate the telecommuter tax, a steep penalty often resulting in double taxation of income that interstate telecommuters earn at home. The telecommuter tax unfairly burdens telecommuters and their employers and limits telework adoption. Congress must make the Multi-State Worker Tax Fairness Act law! The Telework Coalition (TelCoa) is dedicated to promoting the benefits of telework and telecommuting to individuals, employers, and society and communities. These awards are to recognize the leaders and innovators, including people and organizations, in both the public and private sectors that further the adoption of telework, promote and foster advances in the field, and encourage others to follow in their footsteps.

We do not have fixed categories in which we present awards but rather look for unique areas in which there was a person or group of people who actually made a difference.

Below are examples of some of these. Please realize that people move around, organizations are acquired by others or close altogether, and some alter their philosophies and can do a complete turnaround. At the times these awards were given, we believed these were the most entitled recipients.
